Appointments System

Please use the link to the right to complete a patient triage request. The practice will contact you with an outcome to your medical or admin query.

Patients without internet access can use the telephone number below but this process will be longer for us to complete the triage for you.

We offer appointments from 08:00 to 18:30 - Monday to Friday.

We are unable to accept any request to book an appointment via email, please use the triage to the right. 

To book a same day appointment with your GP please contact the medical centre on the day you would like to be seen from 08:00 using our appointment line.

To book in advance telephone and online appointments you will need to be registered for our online services.

We offer in advance GP appointments, however due to high non-attendance rates these are restricted to 3 weeks ahead. Our reception will advise you on the availability of these appointments.

The receptionists and medical secretaries are your link with the rest of the practice. 

They will try in every way to help you and the more information you are able to give, the better they will be able to assist you.

Wherever possible, you will be given an appointment to suit you with the GP of your choice, however this may not always possible but the receptionist will be able to offer you other alternatives that are available.

We regularly audit our appointment system. You may be asked to complete a short questionnaire so we can keep up to date with your views.

Structured Medication Reviews (SMR)

The practice is now booking Structured Medication Reviews (SMR), these are targeted reviews for patient with complex needs. As this is an NHS England requirement, we can only offer these appointments to patients that meet the criteria. The Practice will contact you if you need an SMR completing.

Enhanced Access Appointments

The surgery may be able to book an appointment for you with the GP Enhanced Access Service, please contact the practice for this service.

Please note that your consent will be required in order for an appointment to be booked for you.

Appointments are available:

  • Monday - Friday 18:30 - 20:00
  • Saturday – 09:00 – 17:00

These appointments will either be on the telephone, online, via video consultation or in face to face

Home Visits

Where possible please try to telephone reception before 11:30am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or arrange a hospital attendance.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember home visits are not available to solve your transport problems and it is often very difficult for a doctor to examine a patient without surgery facilities, several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.

Cancel an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

Late For Your Appointment

Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.

Interpreter

If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist and she will arrange this for you.

Parking

Please do not block the main entrance into the surgery, as the doctors are required to attend emergencies between the hours of 08:00 and 18:30 Monday to Friday.

Patients are unable to use the Practice car park between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday.

There is access to several local Pay and Display Parking areas within close proximity to the surgery.

Please allow plenty of time before your appointment to park your vehicle.

Patients are permitted to park in the Practice car park between 17:00 and 23:00, Monday to Friday to attend an appointment or access the internal Pharmacy.

The car park is open to all patients accessing the Pharmacy over the weekend period.

We can allow parking for disabled patients for a limited period of time subject to the parking availability - Please contact reception regarding this.
